Why Majella
Majella began with a simple wish. We wanted a fertility app we could open without bracing ourselves.
Like many couples, we had tried the popular cycle apps. Alongside the tracking came a steady stream of articles and assumptions we did not share, content that treated contraception as a given.
We wanted something faithful. Something built around Natural Family Planning, made for couples who want to understand their fertility in a way that honours the body and the Church's vision for it.
When we could not find it, we built it

A name with meaning
Majella is named after Saint Gerard Majella, the patron of expectant mothers. We chose him because this app is, at heart, for families of faith. Reverence for the body, for life and for the gift of fertility. We hope a little of that reaches you through it.
Made for Natural Family Planning
Majella is built around NFP from the ground up, not adapted from something else. It helps you notice and record the signs your body gives, temperature, mucus and the rhythms of your cycle, so you can read your own fertility with clarity and confidence.
Whether you are hoping to conceive or have reason to postpone, Majella supports you with the same care, so you can make decisions with a clear conscience.

Whether you are hoping or waiting
Some women come to Majella hoping to conceive. Others have serious reasons to postpone. Majella serves both with the same care, helping you notice and record the signs of your cycle without judgement and without pressure.
The goal is always understanding, so that you can make decisions with a clear conscience.
Your information stays yours
The cycle and health details you record live on your device. If you choose to back them up, they go to your own private cloud account, not to any server we control. We cannot read them. We do not sell them. We do not use them for advertising, and we never will.
For information this personal, that was the only arrangement we were willing to build.
