Using Majella

Is Majella free?

You can start with free period tracking. Pro adds chart views and PDF sharing with your instructor. Check the subscription screen in the app for current plans and prices.

Can I share my chart with an instructor?

With Pro, export your chart as a PDF and choose who to share it with. Majella is a charting tool that supports your own practice of Natural Family Planning.

 

Connecting Apple Health (iPhone)

 

Apple Health sharing is optional. Majella can read and write supported cycle and temperature data with your permission.

 

Choose or change your permissions

During setup, choose the data categories you want to share in the Apple Health prompt. To change them later, open Health on your iPhone, tap your profile, find Majella under Apps, and review its permissions. Menu names may vary with your iOS version.

Using a thermometer or wearable

Set up the device in its own app first and check that it saves a supported reading to Apple Health. Majella records basal body and wrist temperature as separate series. Compatibility depends on the device, data type and permissions; not every wearable provides both.

Connecting Health Connect (Android)

 

Health Connect sharing is optional. During setup, choose which supported cycle and temperature data Majella can access.

 

Choose or change your permissions

Open Health Connect, choose App permissions, then Majella. Review the data types you want to share. Your device or its companion app must also have permission to write those readings to Health Connect.

What if a reading does not appear?

Check that the reading is present in Apple Health or Health Connect, then review the permissions for both Majella and the device app. You can also log readings manually in Majella. If you still need help, contact us below with your phone model, app version and device name.
