Connecting Apple Health (iPhone)​

Majella can read and write your cycle and temperature data through Apple Health, so everything stays in one place.

Turning it on during setup

When you first set up Majella, you will be asked for permission to access Apple Health. Choose the data you are happy to share, then tap Allow. We recommend allowing the cycle and temperature categories so Majella has what it needs.

Turning it on later, or if you said no

You can change this at any time.

1. Open the Health app on your iPhone

2. Tap your profile photo in the top right

3. Tap Apps (or Privacy on some versions)

4. Tap Majella

5. Turn on the data types you want to share

You can also reach this through Settings, Health, Data Access and Devices, Majella.

Using a thermometer or wearable

Any device or app that writes basal body temperature to Apple Health, such as a wearable thermometer, will flow into Majella once Health sharing is on. Set the device up in its own app first, then it will appear in Majella automatically.

Connecting Health Connect (Android)​

On Android, health data is shared through Health Connect, the built in store for cycle and temperature information.

Turning it on during setup

When you set up Majella, grant it permission in the Health Connect prompt. Choose the cycle and temperature categories so Majella has what it needs.

Turning it on later, or if you declined

1. Open Health Connect on your device

2. Tap App permissions

3. Tap Majella

4. Turn on the data types you want to share
    

Using a thermometer or wearable

Any device or app that writes temperature to Health Connect will flow into Majella once sharing is on. Set the device up in its own app first.
